They don't call me Sondra "The Lone Re-arranger" Murphy's daughter for nothing. This weekend we reconfigured some of the nursery furniture. (Rather, I directed Steve and he did the actual work! ;-)

We also framed and hung the first three prints--vintage illustrations by Philadelphia native Bessie Pease Gutmann. Check out the photo album to see some pics.

Little Fanelli got back from yet another trip yesterday. She and I were in the Boston area for work.

She's been on quite a few trips already! She was in Miami in January, London in early March, Louisville in mid-March, and down the shore (in New Jersey) in May. Now she's been through New York City, Connecticut, and Massachusetts. She's a well-traveled little thing. We're hoping she'll be amenable to travel once she's OUTSIDE the womb, too!

Ask and you shall receive! Danielle read my post from this morning and just made a terrific suggestion for wall decor. She suggested I get prints of dolls--especially antique ones--and frame them. She also said a little tea set might work well. I smell a trip to some antique stores...! (And, in the meantime, I can search good old eBay!)

This is hardly a crisis of epic proportions, but I'm having a hard time choosing accessories for the nursery walls. Because the bedding is so "un" babyish, typical nursery decor doesn't seem to fit. Yet, I don't want to hang Cheri Blum-style floral prints; the nursery will end up looking like a parlor! Mom suggested hanging old baby pictures of family members, which could be cool. Any other suggestions are appreciated!

Yesterday was the 30-week check-up. Everything seems to be just fine. The baby is measuring at 30 cm, which apparently is right on track.

My blood pressure is normal, and the test for gestational diabetes came back negative. I also got a mild lecture about my weight gain (ugh). The doctor admonished me to lay off the chocolate puddings (which only shows how little the doc knows... it's donuts and cookies that are to blame! ha ha).

On Wednesday afternoon, Steve and I went for a follow-up Level I ultrasound. This one wasn't nearly as exciting as the Level II we had six weeks ago. For starters, the technician had laryngitis and wasn't in the most "fun" mood.

Second, the sonogram itself was much shorter. However, we did get to see quite a bit of action, including a yawn. According to the tech, our daughter is "a real wiggleworm" with "a lot of personality." (She probably tells that to everyone, though!)

One thing's for sure: the baby didn't stop moving the whole time she was on screen! She also kept putting her hands to her mouth and "eating" them. The tech told me, "You'd better have something to put in that baby's mouth as soon as she's born!"

In terms of medical details, her growth is right on course. They estimate her current weight at 2 pounds, 15 ounces. We go back in four weeks for yet another Level I follow-up.

On Tuesday, Danielle and I went to the doctor for the 28-week appointment. Everything is normal and on track. The heartbeat was loud and strong at 155 beats per minute. Next Wednesday is the third ultrasound. We're really looking forward to seeing how much she has grown and changed since 23 weeks!

In the meantime, Little Fanelli continues to be quite active, and my belly continues to expand!
